About
Inbetween playing shows and touring with Siouxsie, continuing my ongoing photography work and emerging from the global pandemic, I embarked on a series of screen prints. I really missed the physical mark making of my early painting career, particularly as much of my work since has been made digitally. I’ve massively enjoyed being able to bring my photography and painting together with this process.
So I thought I’d create this site (to confuse people further on what the hell I get up to date to day) and to collect all the work in one place. The first set of prints I’ve been working on is based around the motif of a 747 Aeroplane Window, which I think was most likely born out of the frustration of not being able to look out of them throughout the pandemic. They move between more overt recognisable imagery into full abstraction.
I had incredible guidance form Sarah and Dom at Marshfield Studio near Bath. They patiently got me started, teaching me how to make this beautiful mess and it’s been the best fun.
And soon I will also make work that doesn’t feature plane windows…
