Joe began making music after he discovered an old acoustic under the stairs aged 12. Writing and recording began in his parents' garage and after graduating from art school, he found himself back making music, this time in Bath, England. Here he began playing and writing with Bath-based 3 piece "The Girls" as bass player 'Kitrocket', the band later recording the album "Akimbo" for Wall Of Sound. Through his time with The Girls, Joe also toured through the States and Europe, playing bass for various different artists. Self recording, shooting and producing, he has been working from his underground studio - a converted cave in the centre of Bath. "Ants & Stars" is the result of material written with ex Girls' founder James Oliver, mixed by Tom Dalgety (Delays, Band Of Skulls) and Steve Evansson (Goldfrapp, Robert Plant) in another cave in the west country.
